Chapter 5

For chapter 5 the concept that I chose is values. Values are very meaningful to me because it's important to stick to the beliefs and values that you believe in. It's hard in certain organizations to follow what you believe in because you're getting paid to do whatever the organization requires you to do or what they believe in. But in other organizations, it's good and important to have value. The book had mentioned that value can be powerful in boosting employee loyalty and satisfication and it's true. Without the right values in an organization; people wouldn't want to stay with that exact job. They would want to find something better. It relates to me because at the job that I work at there isn't any real meaningful or employee satisfaction compared to other jobs that are out there. It's not a bad job; it could be better. They aren't that loyal to their employees at times and thats why people leave for better jobs that are more valuable.
